Worship team onboarding
Watch this!
Thank you for your interest in serving on the Anchor Church Worship Team! This document describes the onboarding process. There are many variables when considering whether or not the worship team is the best place for you to serve. Not everyone who applies ends up on the team, but our desire is that everyone would find the best place for them to serve the body. We know God will put you where He wants to use you most effectively, whether that’s on the worship team or somewhere else within the church!
Complete the Anchored Path
STEP 1
At Anchor, we ask that each person go through what we call “The Anchored Path”
Once complete, please proceed to Step 2.
Interest Form
STEP 2
In this form you will find a list of questions that will simply help us get to know you and your story.
Please fill out the form below.
Auditioning
STEP 3
Please submit an audition video via the planning center form that the worship pastor has sent to you. Once submitted, the worship pastor will communicate if there are any needed areas of improvement which may require additional auditioning, if there is enough roster space for your desired position, and/or if there is a better ministry for you to serve in.
Meet for Coffee
STEP 4
After you have completed the worship team interest form and passed the audition, you will be contacted by the worship pastor with a request to meet in person. During this time, you will review the worship team handbook. The handbook has everything you need to know for the expectations, vision, and culture of the worship team.
Read “The Reset” + Book Review
STEP 5
Please read/audiobook “The Reset” by Jeremy Riddle. This book describes the heart behind the worship culture we long to embody at Anchor Church. Once completed, fill out the book review form to share your thoughts on what stood out to you.
Come to a worship rehearsal + Setup/Teardown
STEP 6
You will be invited to come to a worship rehearsal to get a feel of how a Sunday morning operates. Anchor does not own a building at this time, so we arrive at 7am to set up, and we serve until everything is put away.
Finalize Details
STEP 7
In this step, we will go over any final details for onboarding you onto the worship team such as: expectations, commitments, apparel, gear, apps, etc. After this meeting, you will start being scheduled for Sunday gatherings at the worship pastor's discretion.
3-6 Month Review
STEP 8
After you are scheduled a few times, you and the worship pastor will meet to discuss how your involvement is going. This will give each of you a chance to share any thoughts or ask any questions.
Discover and Develop
3
-
Discover and Develop is all about the process of uncovering who God has created you to be!
We believe that God designs and gives each of us specific gifts, talents, and wirings and that when we are to utilize those for the betterment of the body of Christ.
-
We believe that you matter, your story matters, and the way God designed and gifted you matters.
A Scripture we like to refer to often at Anchor is Ephesians 4:16 - 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.
In other words, knowing and functioning in your unique skillset and gifting not only helps to give missional purpose to your life, but also serves and makes the body of Christ better.
-
Spiritual gifts are unique ways that God designs and equips His people to help build His Kingdom.
We see examples of spiritual gifts in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4, and 1 Peter 4.

We’ve made that as easy as possible. Click here to take a spiritual gift assessment that helps you identify some of your top gifts!
Connect and Engage
4
-
When we think about leadership, service, and connection, we believe that this extends far beyond the physical walls of Anchor Church.
We use the language “gathering” and “going” to make these distinctions. There are different ways of leading, serving, and connecting in the gathering at Anchor Church, and the same can be said for opportunities outside of Anchor.
Our primary community partners are CareNet and 549 Hope. If you’re interested in any outreach opportunities, contact pastor Spencer.

Simply click the “Signup for a Service Team” button below, and someone from our team will be in contact with you shortly!
-
We’d love to do our best in finding the right group for you!
While we hope that an existing group will work for you, we also realize that with so many variables, like night of the week, area of town, and average demographic, you may not find a group that's the right for you. While we are trying to add new groups every session, you may want to consider starting one yourself! We would love to come alongside you and equip you with all the tools you’ll need to open up your home and lead a group.

Becoming
5
-
We want to see our community filled with people who have a love for God, a love for others, and a desire for Missoula to see the beauty of Jesus.
Becoming is a class where we talk about some of the distinctive in how we, at Anchor, feel God has called us to structure our ministries as well as conversations about what it looks like to grow in our faith.
-
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
I’m In
6
-
We believe that belonging to a community of faith is an integral part of the Christian life.
Membership is our way of making this come to life. Members of Anchor Church have different responsibilities according to our Bylaws. Additionally, all of our members are assigned pastoral care from one of our pastors on staff.
-
Membership is one way that we do our best as a church to care, pray for, and minister to the needs in our community.
Additionally members play a key role in the governance and future direction of Anchor Church!
